Interlibrary Loan of the day

Captain ILL isn't sure why he selected Bead Style: Fabulous Chunky Jewelry as the ILL of the day. It certainly can't be due to an overwhelming interest in beads. He's vaguely aware of what beads are, but he doesn't think he owns any, and there certainly aren't any incorporated in his costume. He also didn't select this book due to a limited range of choices; not with titles like: Bubbles: A Self Portrait, The Eternal Now, or Events That Shaped the World in the Twentieth Century. Captain ILL isn't silly enough to select a book as the ILL of the day just because it has a pretty girl on the cover... is he?

Superheroes always fall for the pretty girls, don't they?

The exception of course being Popeye and Olive Oyl. What did he see in her anyway? But then I guess Popeye was no spring chicken either.

What's wrong with Olive Oyl? If memory serves, she had two men chasing after her. What does Popeye's age have to do with it? And when did he become a superhero?
At least Olive wasn't a blonde.

I think that Olive Oyl was perfect for Popeye! I believe most every woman would agree, Popeye was cute but he certainly wasn't your stereotypical hunky male. Dean Cain as Superman comes to Jazzi's mind at this point... **sigh**

What's wrong with blondes?!? (Yes, completely natural. Well, nearly. Well, it only costs $80 a month to maintain.)

When my son was little, he used to call blonde hair yellow. (That is the color of crayon you would use, so it makes perfect sense). Of course, he is color blind, so he thought his own hair was green. When he colored pictures of himself, there'd he be... green haired little boy standing on orange grass. Wouldn't you like to know what his world looked like? My groovy daughter and I like to quiz him a lot. It's fun. You know when La Hacienda gives you those mints...sometimes green, sometimes red? He only likes the red. But he can see absolutely no difference between them.

Oh... this isn't my blog... Totally OT. (look that one up bowlingjoe).

hasta la vista
