You Can't Send a Duck to Eagle School is a tiny little book full of tiny little sayings. The title, however, reminds Captain ILL of what the Zen master Joshu said when asked about the meaning of life:
"What's hot is hot, and what's cold is cold."
This doesn't keep Captain ILL from trying to change the world by grinding evil beneath the Giant Boot of Justice, but he accepts that some evils are beyond his control; like FOX news, long lines at Costco, and Dick Cheney.

Another insightful choice from the stainless steel, teflon coated mind of Captain ILL.
I'm reminded of what Billy Preston once said: "Nothing from nothing leaves nothing".
It makes me wonder if there isn't a saying in El Capitan's world like "You can't send a Superhero to mere mortal school".
I'm not sure how much formal training in mathematics Mr. Preston had, but this can be expressed numerically as:
0-0=0
Captain ILL is so full of himself, that attending a few courses in "mere mortal school" would do him some good.
Let's hope that Captain ILL can roust Dick Cheney from his secure bunker come January -- rumor is he's planning on staying no matter who wins in November.
We can hardly blame poor Dick for not wanting to move. It's probably a major pain to get all that life support equipment out of the bunker. Maybe it would be best just to seal him in with a couple tons of cement.
Joe, if you'll recall from your classic gothic novels (Jane Eyre, Rebecca), sealing them up doesn't work -- they just end up setting fire to the rest of the house.
Let's not forget "The Cask of Amontillado" where the murderer did get away with sealing up the murderee. I believe the secret is to get the victim drunk first.
In that case, maybe it's time to send Cheney some of your yuckas, joe.
Dick is pretty crafty, so I'm not sure I'd be able to lure him into the wine cellar, chain him to the wall, and brick him in even if he had a few yuckas in him. Yuckas are wonderful, but we can't rely on them to solve all the world's problems.
